today in class we finished watching the movie slum dog millionaire !

& this is the real life of India.

                Life in the slums of Mumbai isn't that great at all. There aren’t really any good parts about it. The houses there are made up of scraps of anything that they can find. Also food and drink isn't wonderful. Another really horrible thing is the bathroom. Some people cannot afford bathrooms in their homes so they have to use the ones near the water which are just holes. There is one bathroom for every thousand people. That is very unhealthy and unsanitary for all the people around. In Mumbai there aren't trash men. They just throw their trash in the water which isn't good because they use that water to wash themselves and clothes. This is a very bad place in many ways but in other ways, it’s just there perspective of a good life. The money there isn't good either mostly everyone in the slums is poor and the people in other parts of Mumbai don't like them. After watching this I was very much appreciate my life and how much i have like going to the bathroom and showering , also the washer and dryer. Some things in life I take for granite but are things that some people don't have in their life like good education, food, doctors, etc.

      Bollywood which is like our Hollywood is India's theater. Bollywood has a lot of more movies per year then Hollywood but that is because Bollywood doesn't get as many views as Hollywood movies do. India's film producers are very serious about their work and they produce many movies. 

      India has a huge population. There are about 1.15 billion people that live there. India is the second largest country, China is the first. By 2030 they expect India to pass China. India is expected to have a population of 1.53 people and China at 1.46 billion people and will keep dropping. There seems to be a lot more Indian women than men over the age 65. 

Kaun Benega Crorepati is the game show who wants to be a millionaire in India. This is show that lets people go and answer trivia questions and win money for it. Usually doctor’s lawyers and more wealthy people with educations go on the show. When someone from the slums goes on the show they usually don't last long or get money. In the movie Slum Dog Millionaire, there is a man names Jamal. He lived his life in the slums of Mumbai and he went on the show. He ended up getting trashed on the show by the host because he was from the slums. At the end of the show he ended up winning millions of rupees. The show cast and the police accused him of cheating because they thought that he couldn't ever get that far in the show being in the slums, it was impossible for him to know the answers. In the movie is shows flashbacks of his life and how he knows the answer to all of the questions that he answered. The cops tortured poor Jamal until he admitted to cheating but he never did he explained to them everything in his life and how he knew what he did.

India Paragraph

India has a major problem with child labor . Most  people in India have a really tough time making money, so they become people who use children. India suffers from much poverty which leads to desperate measures like child trafficking.  Some  people use children to get money by being  beggars . They will make the children stand on street corners singing for money. They thought that people would give more money to the ones with disabilities. They thought that they would feel sorry for them, so they would pay more. If they didn't have a lot of disabled kids they would blind children by putting hot oil on their eyes. These people are crazy and would do anything for money. Other ways they would use the children is having them work , work , work until they were unhealthy . Even though there are child labor laws prohibiting children under 14 from working families need the money and have to go against the law.   Those who "buy" the children would feed them good food and drink so they would stay. Also they would give them a place to stay. Most of the kids have lost their families,  and they have no where else to go . They are forced to work for men who are gangsters and will do anything for money. Some of the men are very rude to the children also and will hurt them . They are very sick minded and will do anything. The sad part about this is that the children have nothing else to do.They have nowhere else to go because mostly all of them don't have family. This kind of stuff happens a lot in India, and they will do anything for extra money. Kids are alone and things are crazy , its a horrible situation.  Organizations like UNICEF are trying to help fight for children's rights in India.
